Fill the pot about 1/3 full with the potting soil mix, place your plant in the pot, and add more houseplant mix around the roots, pressing lightly to level. Water your container thoroughly after planting and let drain. One 4-qt. bag of Miracle-Gro Houseplant Potting Mix fills an 8-inch container (amounts may vary depending on the size of the root ball).
