Real reacted swabs, not a printed chart
The yellow tip is an activated swab with no lead detected. The dark tips are positive reactions on leaded paint: the tip turns pink, red, or dark maroon when lead is present. The surface may also stain pink when low levels of lead are present.
What to test, and what this test is
Designed for paint on walls, trim, doors, window sills, painted furniture, radiators, and painted toys or decor. For non-paint surfaces and ceramics, follow the specific notes printed on the pack.
This is a surface screening test, not a substitute for laboratory analysis. Always compare the swab tip to the color chart printed on the pack, and see the pack for the non-paint surfaces method and the ceramics note.
